The Hockanum Industries main building is located in Vernon, CT on a quiet residential street. Inside this historic red building you will find wonderful things happening. For over 30 years we have provided employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.

Talk to any of the clients, staff, friends and families and you will quickly learn about all the special things that we do.

Here on Hale Street we have our full mail assembly service. We also collect, sort and recycle cans and bottles for our collaboration efforts with KID SAFE of Vernon. You will also find our administrative offices here. 

We have a full-service greenhouse located on Rt. 44 in Mansfield Depot where we grow annuals, perennials and holiday plants and arrangements.

We also operate Shred & Gone located in Downtown Rockville where we provide shredding services for local residents and businesses.

Our mobile cleaning crew visits area businesses Monday-Friday. We also have a cleaning crew that works at a local hotel. 

At Big Y we have a crew of front end and bakery clerks that provide customers with exceptional service as well as performing multitude of job responsibilities. 

We also have several talented people working in our administrative offices assisting with computer work (including this website!), answering telephones and many other general office duties.

As you can see we are busy providing some important services throughout the community.

Our dedicated staff provides a safe, enriching experience for each of our clients. We all work very hard to ensure that each and every person at Hockanum Industries is continuously growing through these challenging and fulfilling work experiences.

Besides the work that we do, we also have several recreational programs that allow our clients the opportunity to get involved in after work social activities.

Please help support all of the wonderful services that we offer in the community by coming to us for shredding, mailing or cleaning services or referring your friends and family to us. Or stop by our greenhouse for your plants and flowers during the spring and summer as well as your holiday arrangements this winter. We also welcome any local businesses that would like us to provide a cleaning crew or office work. You can also support Hockanum Industries with donations of office supplies, computers, furniture, vehicles or a few hours of your time as a volunteer. There are many ways to help and many extraordinary people that will benefit from your efforts.
